Flexibility with Azure Credits

You receive £130 of Azure credits with the Free Trial. The choice is now yours on how you use your Azure credits. Use them on any Azure service based on your needs including, Virtual Machines, Web Sites, Cloud Services, Mobile Services, Storage, SQL Database, Content Delivery Network, HDInsight, Media Services, and many more.

Use the pricing calculator to estimate how much you could use with £130 of Azure credits. Here are a few usage scenarios that consume no more than £130 in a month:

  • Run 2 small Virtual Machine instances for the entire month, or
  • Store 800 GB of data in Storage, or
  • Develop and test a web application using Cloud Services, with 3 web roles and 2 worker roles on medium instances, for 10 hours a day, 5 days a week, or
  • Run a 100GB SQL Database for the entire month

Any unused monthly credits cannot be carried over to subsequent months and cannot be transferred to other Azure subscriptions. Monthly usage in excess of the monthly credit amount included with your offer will be charged at the Pay-As-You-Go rates. If the Spending Limit has been removed, charges will be incurred at the Pay-As-You-Go rates.  If the Spending Limit is set at £0, your subscription will be suspended upon using the third party service.You will be notified at least 30 days in advance of any changes to the Pay-As-You-Go rates.

This offer is limited to one offer per new customer.

We require a credit card or debit card to authenticate you when you sign-up. Your credit card will initially NOT be charged as your new account has a £0 Spending Limit. Use up to your Azure credits at no charge. If you exceed your credits, your service will be disabled. You can choose to turn off your Spending Limit by converting to a pay-as-you-go subscription and any usage in excess of the credits will be charged at the Pay-As-You-Go rates. Read more about the Spending Limit feature.

Any taxes which may result from receiving services at no charge are the sole responsibility of the recipient.


Azure Credits may not be used to purchase Azure support plans, third-party branded products, products sold through Marketplace or Store, or products otherwise sold separately from Azure (for example, Microsoft Azure Active Directory Premium).

Cancelation Policy

You may cancel this subscription at any time. Payment is required for any outstanding fees incurred.

Usage Quotas

The following monthly usage quotas are applied. If you need more than these limits, please contactcustomer service at any time so that we can understand your needs and adjust these limits appropriately.

Cloud Services and Virtual Machines

The standard quota is 20 concurrent Standard Small (A1) compute instances or an equivalent number of other types or sizes of compute instances as determined by using the compute instance quota conversion table below.

Active Directory

150,000 objects

An object is an entry in the directory service, represented by its unique distinguished name. An example of an object is a user entry used for authentication purpose.

If you exceed the above quotas for a given month, you will still be responsible for charges that exceed the quotas. We also reserve the right to disable your account in any month that you exceed the quota, but we will make multiple attempts to contact you by e-mail before doing so. There are additional situations that may require us to disable a customer’s account, including non-payment of fees. For further details, please refer to our Online Services Use Rights for the Azure platform that is published on our legal page.

Service Level Agreements

We offer a set of robust service level agreements for each of the Azure platform services. More details on each of our SLAs can be found on our SLA page. Service level agreements are not provided for services during preview.

Resource Commitment

All increases in usage levels of service resources (e.g. adding to the number of compute instances running, or increasing the amount of storage in use) are subject to the availability of these service resources. Any quota described in the Usage Quotas section is not a commitment that there will be sufficient resources available for you to reach the quota.

For any subscriptions of this offer that are not incurring charges and are inactive for over 90 days, we reserve the right to remove any compute resources including hosted service(s), virtual machines and websites. Please note that no data would be deleted and customers can redeploy at any time. We will also provide advance notice prior to removing any compute resources.

You can also avoid having your compute resources removed by doing either of the following every 90 days:

  1. Log into either the current management portal or the new preview portal
  2. Access your hosted service(s) via our Azure APIs
